BETWEEN A ROCK AND
A HARD PLACE

BY H. CLAY DAHLBERG

Edition of 40
26"H x 15"W x 16"D

It was a long way, horseback, from Red river to the Musselshell....and once a man left Powder River behind, he was alone in the western wilderness, where prairies and badlands bumped up against each other in the shadow of the mountains. In this lonesome land the grizzly bear was boss, fierce and unafraid. A good horse, a gun, and a stout heart were basic to survival on the early northern ranges....where war paint and weather were not the worst things a man had to worry about.
