Cowboys are the embodiment of our feelings about freedom, and the West remains a solid sanctuary for patriotic pride. The rodeo always begins with the "Star-Spangled Banner". A solitary rider bearing Old Glory sits tall in his saddle with respect and reverence that are real. Time-honored tradition gives meaning to life out on the open prairies and across the wide plains. The red, white and blue still stirs in a restless west wind and also in the hearts of heroes.
