The cannons are quiet now...the "gritos" no longer echo in the afternoon air. But there are legends in that land down below the border where dust devils dance in the desert. The unsettled spirits of Villa's vanquished "valientes" and of "Zapatistas" who died hard still haunt the hills of Old Mexico. Bold, brave men rose in revolt against the dictator Diaz in 1910. Their blood sacrifice is a timeless testament to the need that men have to be free.
