HEADED OUT Edition of 50 He came from Cotulla. They called themselves brushpoppers...a different and distinct kind of cowboy who was born and bred in the droughthy land of thorny thickets sprawling south of old San Antonio. They are tough men in a tough country...reckless and as wild as the cattle they chase in the heat and harshness. Some of the best brushpoppers came from Cotull, the small South Texas town that is the cradle of the brush country cattle business. Cotulla is home to the proud heritage of generations of horseback heroes who have lived with their saddles cinched on horses and their ropes tied hard to the horn. Click here to e-mail the artist. |
