The Quarter Horse is the cowboy's kind…keen and quick as a cat; intelligent and always eager for action when confronted with cattle. Rigged out and ready in the traditional California style "jaquima con fiador", or with ported bit, spade, or snaffle, the stock horse is the cowboy's ablest ally when it comes to working cattle. Old cowboys may forget the names of the men they once rode with, but they always remember those horses.
